The deck is made of a slab with 4 beams connected (image 4) I was thinking in finding the center of gravity of each beam and connect it to the columns through a rigid link and them make the beam and the slab with bars. And how to make the connection to the columns. How can I fix that?Ģ- I have no idea of how to model the deck. But I´, still getting some weird results.
I have used some suggestions that I´ve found on the forum. As you can see it gives a lot of problems around the edges. The height for the arch is variable, so I´ve created a thickness that is variable along the line for each panel of the arch.ġ- The first problem that I am having is in the creation of the mesh. I´ve made an effort to replicate the real geometry the best way.Ģº Define Panels to each contour. The model was build the following way:ġº Draw all polyline contour according to the project. I´ve attached some photos (image 1, 2,3 and 4) of the bridge for better understanding of the problem. I have created a bar model that dint deliver the best results. I´m trying to build a shell model of an arch bridge, using ARSA 2014.The model will be used for a modal analysis bur unfortunately I´m facing some problems.
